Il a fait progresser notre compr\u00e9hension de l&#8217;hypnose sur des questions clefs, et ses d\u00e9monstrations ont r\u00e9sist\u00e9es \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9preuve du temps et de la r\u00e9plication. Nous rendons hommage \u00e0 ses prodigieuses contributions tout au long de son \u00e9minente carri\u00e8re et \u00e9tendons sa th\u00e9orie de l&#8217;attente \u00e0 la r\u00e9ponse dans un mod\u00e8le int\u00e9gratif bas\u00e9 sur le codage pr\u00e9dictif. Nous passons en revue le concept d&#8217;attentes qu&#8217;il a formul\u00e9 et d\u00e9fendu pendant des d\u00e9cennies et qu&#8217;il a \u00e9tendu \u00e0 la th\u00e9orie des response set. Nous proposons de nouvelles hypoth\u00e8ses pour aligner ses contributions innovantes sur les r\u00e9sultats les plus r\u00e9cents en psychologie et pour rendre hommage \u00e0 la valeur heuristique de son travail.
